On behalf of the organizing team, it is my great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the ICEO & SI 2026 Conference, which will be held on July 2–3, 2026, in Tainan, Taiwan. This conference is organized under the guidance of the Taiwan Group on Earth Observations (TGEO), and hosted by the Coastal Ocean Monitoring Center (COMC) and the Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering (DHOE) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). It is truly an honor for us to host this international event and to bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world. |
Following the tradition of previous ICEO & SI conferences, the program will feature distinguished keynote speakers as well as thematic parallel sessions. We are planning three parallel sessions to facilitate in-depth discussions across a broad spectrum of topics related to Earth observations and their applications.
This year, the conference will adopt a special session-based format. We warmly invite participants to propose special sessions aligned with emerging research themes and interdisciplinary challenges. Upon review and approval by the conference committee, session organizers will be encouraged to invite international experts and scholars to contribute their latest research findings. In addition, we will continue to welcome open submissions from the broader community.
To ensure a convenient and comfortable conference experience, ICEO & SI 2026 will be held at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Hotel in Tainan, located right next to National Cheng Kung University—only a one-minute walk from the campus. We are currently arranging special accommodation rates for conference participants, and further details will be announced in the News section of the conference website.
We sincerely hope that this conference will provide a fruitful platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation. At the same time, we invite you to experience the rich cultural heritage and hospitality of Tainan, the oldest city in Taiwan.
